The term "Polar Bears" refers to a group or species of large, white-furred bears that inhabit the Arctic regions. These animals are well adapted for living in cold environments and have several unique features such as thick fur, which provides insulation against the cold; a layer of fat, called blubber, which helps them retain heat; and large paws with sharp claws to help them move across snow and ice. Polar bears primarily feed on seals, using their sense of smell to locate breathing holes in the ice where they can catch their prey. Due to climate change, polar bear populations are facing threats such as loss of habitat and reduced access to food sources.
